A doctor-run fraternity of IMA Andhra Pradesh — standing by member families since 1990 with transparent, low-cost cover built on doctor solidarity.
Doctors of AP
The IMA APPA Family Security Scheme (FSS 2.0FBSXls) is a fraternity-driven family-cover scheme run by and for the doctor members of the Indian Medical Association — Andhra Pradesh state. It was founded in Hyderabad in 1990, in the undivided state, under the visionary leadership of Dr. N. Apparao.
The objective is simple and unchanged across the decades: to stand by the family of a member doctor on demise, with prompt and meaningful financial support — pooled by the fraternity itself. The scheme is non-commercial, doctor-governed and built on transparency.
That no IMA-AP doctor's family should ever feel alone in their hour of need. The scheme is the doctor community's collective commitment to its own — a fraternity, not a product.
From a small group of doctors in undivided AP in 1990 to a state-wide fraternity today — the journey of three and a half decades of doctor welfare.

Meet the CommitteeThe Family Security Scheme is a pure term-cover fraternity model. Members contribute a modest amount per term bill, and these contributions form the pool from which the family benefit is disbursed to the nominee of any member doctor on demise. There is no maturity benefit, no profit motive and no agent commission — every paisa is accounted for and used solely for member welfare.
Over the years, the scheme has built a digital member portal so doctors can enrol, pay term bills, manage nominee details and download receipts at the click of a button — bringing transparency right to every member's screen.
