Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using the website imafssap.com or enrolling in the IMA APPA Family Security Scheme. By accessing this website or applying for membership, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About the Scheme

The IMA APPA Family Security Scheme ("FSS" or "the Scheme") is a fraternity-based family security initiative of the Indian Medical Association, Andhra Pradesh State. The Scheme is not an insurance product regulated by IRDAI. It is a doctor-fraternity scheme operated for the welfare of its registered members.

2. Eligibility for Membership

  • The applicant must be a qualified medical practitioner with a valid registration.
  • The applicant must be an active member of IMA — Andhra Pradesh State.
  • The applicant must meet the age, health and other eligibility criteria as may be specified by the Managing Committee from time to time.
  • The Managing Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason.

3. Member Obligations

  • Provide complete and accurate information at the time of enrollment and update any change in personal, contact, professional or nominee details promptly.
  • Pay enrollment fees, term bills and fraternity contributions on time as notified by the Managing Committee.
  • Maintain confidentiality of login credentials of the member portal. The member is solely responsible for any activity performed using his/her login.
  • Abide by the rules and bye-laws of the Scheme and the IMA AP.

4. Term Bills & Contributions

  • The Managing Committee may issue term bills from time to time as needed for sustaining the Scheme.
  • Cover continues only as long as the member is regular with term-bill payments.
  • If a member defaults on payment beyond the notified grace period, the cover may be suspended or the member may be defiladed / treated as withdrawn as per the Scheme rules.
  • The Managing Committee may revise contribution amounts, billing frequency or applicable late fees and shall communicate such revisions through the website or official channels.

5. Nominee Declaration

  • Every member must nominate one or more eligible family members.
  • The nominee must be a lawful family member as defined by the Scheme rules.
  • It is the member's responsibility to keep nominee details updated.
  • Payments of benefits will be made strictly to the registered nominee(s) on record.

6. Claims

  • On demise of a member, the registered nominee may submit a claim with the prescribed documents (death certificate, identity proofs and other documents as required).
  • The Managing Committee reviews and processes claims in accordance with the Scheme rules.
  • Disbursement is subject to verification, availability of funds and compliance with the Scheme's documentary requirements.

7. Withdrawal & Termination

  • A member may opt out of the Scheme at any time by giving written notice.
  • Since this is a fraternity / term-cover model, no amount is refundable on withdrawal.
  • The Managing Committee may terminate membership in case of misrepresentation, fraud, persistent default of payments or any conduct prejudicial to the Scheme.

8. Use of the Website

  • The content on this website is provided for general information about the Scheme.
  • You agree not to misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, upload malicious code or interfere with its proper functioning.
  • All trademarks, logos and content on this website are the property of IMA APPA FSS and are protected by applicable laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IMA APPA FSS, its Managing Committee, office bearers and staff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising out of the use of this website or membership of the Scheme. Membership benefits are limited to those specifically provided under the rules of the Scheme.

10. Amendments

The Managing Committee reserves the right to amend the rules of the Scheme, the contents of this website and these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Such changes shall be effective on posting on the website.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in relation to the Scheme or this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ongole, Andhra Pradesh.
